Raven employees protest the layoffs of last week

Things continue to get worse in Activision. After making themselves known that several quality control employees in Raven Software, managers Call of Duty: War zone, were dismissed unexpectedly on Friday, December 3, today it has been revealed that The workers of this division have organized a march to protest against this decision, as well as to demand better contracts.

In a shared statement for Kodak, employees of the Quality Control Division require that full-time contracts are provided, not only for employees who are still part of Raven Software, but also those who were dismissed In the past week. In this way, the workers would gain an increase in the minimum rate per hour, additional remunerated time and slightly better benefits. This was what was commented about:

Those who participate in this demonstration do so with the continued success of the study at the forefront of their minds. The Raven Quality Control Department is essential for the daily performance of the study as a whole. Highlighting high-performance quality control contracts at a time of constant work and profits puts at risk the health of the study.

According to the group of A Better ABK, which is made up of Activision, Blizzard and King employees, workers who were dismissed, play an important role to keep Call of Duty stable: War zone.

The decision to dismiss these workers was not a total surprise. At the end of last November, Raven Software executives pointed out that they were going to have together to see what workers would be a full-time ascent and what they would be dismissed. In this way, it was revealed that the 30% contract of the quality control team had come to an end on December 3, effectively on January 28, 2022. The rest of the employees are still waiting for a verdict.

This is the third protest of this type that has been carried out this year at Activision Blizzard. The first of these arose after making the demand from the State of California. The second was a consequence of the Report of The Wall Street Journal where Bobby Kick of Harassment is accused.

Editor's note:

It is a real pity that this is the only way in which Activision Blizzard workers are heard today. Considering that we are at the end of the year, and that a new stage of the pandemic can begin on any day, this is not a good time to lose a job. Hopefully Raven Software manages to listen to the demands of employees.
