Third division Tilting Lower Saxony's highest limit
The Football Thirdligists Eintracht Braunschweig, SV Meppen and VfL Osnabrück have recorded success with their legal contradiction against the viewer's border of 500 fans in the state of Lower Saxony. The Upper Administrative Court Lüneburg has largely granted to the submitted Standard Control Application.
"We are very pleased that the Oberanverwaltungsgericht Lüneburg shares our opinion-based view and we had the opportunity through the verdict, as well as the other clubs of the federal area, to apply for up to 50 percent of the stadium capacity to viewers," said VfL- President Holger Elixmann.
"So we did not want to buy a special role for professional football, but in Lower Saxony have the same opportunities, as the clubs from other federal states," said Wolfram Benz, spokesman for the management of Eintracht Braunschweig.
The Lower Saxony state government had previously announced to continue to allow only 500 spectators. In doing so, the Bund-Country Conference on 2 February was the recommendation to admit up to 50 percent of maximum capacity or a maximum of 10,000 attributable to overregional major events.
