EA Sports FC: FIFA partnership officially ended
Today Electronic Arts officially announced the end of the partnership between EA and FIFA in an open letter. The FIFA soccer games from EA Sports will be called EA Sports FC in the future-but only from 2023.
The explanation states: "A new era begins in July 2023 - after EA Sports releases the most extensive FIFA ever this year". This year's FIFA is released again as FIFA 23.
Those responsible assure that EA Sports FC is retained all features and content, including new and old exclusive partnerships. Further information will follow in the summer of 2023.

"To all football fans everywhere,
First of all, I would like to thank this incredible community of more than 150 million fans to help build the world's largest platform for football entertainment - EA Sports FIFA.
After almost 30 years in which we have created gene -definent interactive football experiences, we will soon start an exciting new era.
Next year EA Sports FC will be the future of EA Sports football. Together with our more than 300 license partners from all areas of sport, we are ready to create a new football experience in the name of all football fans around the world.
Everything you love about our games will be part of EA Sports FC - the same great experiences, modes, leagues, tournaments, clubs and athletes will be there. Ultimate team, career mode, pro clubs and Volta football will all be there. Our unique license portfolio with more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues, in which we have been investing for decades, will continue to exist, only in EA Sports FC. These include exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, the Laliga, the Bundesliga, Serie A and MLS - and others will follow.
This new independent platform will offer new possibilities - for innovation, creativity and further development. This is much more than just a change in the symbol - as EA Sports we have committed to ensure that EA Sports FC is a symbol of change. We are determined to invest in sports sensibly, and we look forward to working with a large and growing number of partners to create new authentic experiences that give a global fan base joy, involve them and let them immerse themselves in the world. Electronic Arts also announces that his world -famous football games will be continued under the new EA Sports FC brand from 2023.
This step will enable EA to develop the biggest interactive game in the world for the growing community in cooperation with over 300 partners from all over the world of football.
EA Sports FC will be the platform for Electronic Arts to develop, create and expand new experiences. It will bring more areas of sport to life and use the collective strength of more than 150 million players at EA Sports' global football games-and reach hundreds of millions of new fans in the coming years.

EA Sports FC brings the strength of more than 300 individual license partners and gives players access to more than 19,000 players in 700 teams, 100 stadiums and over 30 leagues around the world. By Sports FC, EA will further expand the reach and performance of its football license portfolio by maintaining and expanding the licensed football content, scaling for new experiences and improving access via other platforms.
EA will also build on a foundation of inclusiveness and drive innovations for the global community in the areas of women's and width football.
The introduction of EA Sports FC has no impact on current EA Sports soccer games. EA and FIFA are looking forward to bringing out the largest and most extensive EA Sports FIFA of all time this autumn.
The last FIFA product will also contain more game modes, features, teams, leagues, players and competitions than any previous edition. Fans can experience these innovations in the entire EA Sports FIFA ecosystem, including FIFA Mobile, FIFA Online 4 and Esports. Further information on EA Sports FC will be provided in summer 2023.
