FC Bayern extends contract with Sven Ulreich until 2023

FC Bayern can continue to count on Ulreich as a back-up for national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. The master has extended the goalkeeper contract until June 30, 2023. "I enjoy the task behind a world goalkeeper like Manuel Neuer," explained Ulreich, "we have a friendly, collegial relationship with each other."

And if Neuer was missing, Ulreich was also on hand as a reliable representative in the current season. Six times in the Bundesliga, once in the DFB Cup and also in the Champions League in 1-1 in the round of 16 in Salzburg when he showed a great performance (goalkeeper note 2.5).

"We are pleased that Sven will stay with Bayern for another year," said sports director Hasan Salihamidzic. "With his character and mentality, it fits perfectly into our group. Sven has an excellent understanding of his role and is always there when you need it."

Always a Bavarian: Thomas Müller extends his contract until 2024

Apart from a one-year guest performance at Hamburger SV 2020/21, Ulreich has played six seasons at FCB at the FCB in 2015 with 78 competitive games, six German championships, three DFB Cup successes, five DFL supercup triumphs and winning the Champions League and the European Super Cup.
